Doha: Qatar Museums (QM) invites students, recent graduates and talented members of the community to join its fall internship program which begins in October.
The internship will last between one and six months, depending on the department chosen, as QM prepares to deliver several key projects this year. The application deadline is August 30.
QM explained that the program integrates the knowledge and theory acquired in the classroom with the practical application and development of skills in the professional setting of its museums, support services and cultural and heritage sites.
Additionally, it provides an opportunity for career exploration and development as well as a chance to learn new skills by: participating in challenging projects, tasks and assignments, and receiving supervision and professional mentoring.
The internship program is available in 14 departments: Arab Museum of Modern Art (Mathaf), Departments of Archaeology, Exhibitions, Facilities Management, Human Capital, Information Technology, Liwan Design Studios and Laboratories, Marketing and Communication and public art.
Also at Msheireb Cultural Forum (M7), National Museum of Qatar, Creative Hubs, Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum 3-2-1 and Qatar Preparatory School.
