Transportation Agent - Sales ? NM - Any locationFreight LogisticsThe primary function of this highly entrepreneurial position is to solicit, develop and manage new transportation business. Additional responsibilities include pricing, rate negotiation with customers and carrier providers, securing carrier capacity, and the monitoring of shipments to ensure that excellent customer service is provided.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have at least 1- 3 years experience in transportation freight brokerage operations and have current customer relationships with brokerage opportunities. Candidates should be self-driven and possess strong relationships with both customers and carriers. Additionally, strong analytical and technical skills that can be utilized to produce creative solutions are desired. College degree or enrollment in post-secondary education program is also preferred.Primary Responsibilities:As a Transportation Broker Agent of the company's team, the individual will be expected to meet the following criteria:1.Generate and maintain a customer base that generates a minimum of $12,000 net revenue on a monthly basis. 2.Execute transactions, and ensure compliance within published procedures.3.Be able to identify, react to, and effectively communicate issues with Agent Manager. 4.Meet or exceed agreed upon growth targets with regard to customer base and net revenue.5.Be able to work independently without direct supervision.6.Interact with team members to provide customer(s) a complete line of services offered by the company.Compensation:At this company, you'll enjoy, an industry leading agent commission plan, a supportive entrepreneurial work environment, in house training opportunities for professional and personal growth.The Ideal Candidate: 1+ to 3 years of experience Management Experience Required - NoMinimum Education - Associate's DegreeCandidates MUST HAVE a verifiable customer following.
