This is a suite that encompasses applications for the web, mobile, and TV. You will work in a dynamic environment on highly visible products. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and releasing great products to Yahoo! users. You should have experience delivering high quality web applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and CSS.Characteristics--------------- Influence architecture, design and implementation- Lead design and development of converged applications that are highly scalable- Interface with various teams to define requirements, interfaces, and implementation approaches- Ability to quickly learn and evaluate new development environments and direct team in best practices in those environments.- Current knowledge of and technical expertise in developing web applications- Prior experience working on large-scale Internet applications- Commitment to delivering great products to Yahoo! users- Strong team player with solid track record of successRequirements--------------- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience- 10+ years of industry-relevant experience developing highly scalable web applications, 5+ years in an architect / technical lead role- Experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering commercial software- Javascript, DHTML, CSS, Apache, PHP- Knowledge of object-oriented design- Team player with excellent communication skillsDesirable--------------- Graphic and UI design skills- Experience with multiple browser support (IE, Firefox, Safari) on Windows and Mac- JSON, REST, SOAP, SQL, MySQL, XML/XSLT, Perl- .NET, Flash / ActionScript / Flex, Java- Unix Shell programming experienceYahoo!
