Stationary EngineerTracking Code2062Job DescriptionThe Jackson Laboratory is seeking experienced Stationary Engineers to join the Facilities Maintenance and Operations team on a part time, per diem basis. Hours worked per year will be roughly 20 weeks filling in for scheduled vacations, or other unplanned absences.* Operation and maintenance of complex high pressure steam plant, chilled water plant and emergency power generation systems.* Working up to personal ability level in other Maintenance trades as a first responder to after-hours facility related issues.* Work will require shift work as part of a 24/7/365 operation. Required Skills* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to work as a team player with minimal supervision.* Demonstrated proficiency using current Windows based computer programs.Required Experience* Formal education related to steam plant operations will be held in high regard.* At a minimum, the successful candidate will hold a current 4th Class Engineer's license issued by The State of Maine.* A minimum of 3 years experience operating a high pressure steam plant.Job LocationBar Harbor, ME, US.Position TypeFull-Time/Regular
