Job Description: Candidate would be responsible for development, implementation and sustaining of Production Test equipment and Procedures for digital subassemblies embedded in military Radio/tactical communication equipment and Radar systems/subassemblies. Tasks include design of test fixtures, implementation of test processes on automated test equipment, and related software used for testing the digital modules within the deliverable hardware. Candidate would be responsible for assisting technicians in troubleshooting digital assemblies that fail during production testing including fault isolation down to the component level. Other tasks include tracking and reporting on production test yields along with root cause analysis. Required Skills: Six plus years industry experience in design and or testing of digital signal processing and communications subsystems. Strong digital design background and software analysis tool skills required. Experience in programming in C++, HP/HT Basic, LabView, Test Stand, LabWindows and JTAG . Use of CAD simulators, such as Mentor, ORCAD (Cadence). College course work with emphasis on digital design, signal processing and microprocessor based data acquisition subsystems is highly desirable. Candidate should have strong background in combinational logic, PLD, and microprocessor-based digital circuit design and analysis. Sound knowledge in Radio/Communication theory of operation and digital receiver design and functionality. Working knowledge using Boundary scan and JTAG tools used in evaluation of digital/processor based functions implemented with ASICs, BGAs and EEPROMS, and flash memory devices. Desired Skills: Sound knowledge in Radio/Communication theory of operation is a plus. Proficiency in use of Logic Analyzers, Microprocessor emulators, and related test equipment is desired. Knowledge of IEEE 488, VXI/VME bus-controlled instruments, National instruments DI/O, and computer interface protocols required. Direct work experience with digital receiver technology, multiprocessor architecture and Microprocessor based signal processing systems.
