Speech Language Pathologist - 10 month position

<b>Title:</b> Speech Language Pathologist - 10 month position<b>Qualifications: </b>Master's Degree required. C's preferred - will provide Clinical Fellowship year. Ability to organize a speech program that addresses local school speech/language goals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, teachers, students, and administrators. Ability to coordinate speech/language services with services provided by other school personnel. Thorough knowledge in the identification, placement, and education procedures for the speech/language category. Comprehensive knowledge of growth and development of children with speech/language needs. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans. Ability to move from school to school to address student needs. Ability to use sound judgement in approaching and working with sensitive and difficult situations. Knowledge of federal and state rules governing programs and services for children with speech/language needs. Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walking, fingering, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to prepare data and reports, and operate a computer.<b>Responsibilities: </b>The employee is responsible for providing screenings, assessments and therapeutic interventions for all educationally relevant communication disorders within the school environment in compliance with all federal, state and local guidelines. This individual provides support for teachers, administrators and parents and develops or suggests materials to aid in school/home efforts in meeting the needs of special students.
