Responsible for imparting knowledge and expertise for the advancement of the students' learning abilities; Rresponsible for providing management with complex and independent activities involved in the implementation of instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs for the assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required; Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, technology, and equipment that reflects accommodation for individual needs of students assigned; Help to develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student; Facilitate learning in the classroom by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, using effective questioning strategies, and providing structure as appropriate to needs of the students. Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of student performances, keeps attendance and grade records and give constructive feedback. Other duties include teaching special education students academic (different subjects), social and motor skills. This would require presentation of the subject matter to class using lectures, demonstrations and audiovisuals teaching aids. Aside from these, the duties of this position will determine specific learning or emotional problems and initiate remediation programs in these areas; Counseling students in identifying and dealing with their academic and social problems; Establishing and maintaining rapport with the students and maintain standards of individual student behavior; Provide direct services as needed to special needs students; Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Level 1 Credential is a must.
