Senior Systems Engineer

This is a Visual Basic, VB.Net & SQL Server Systems Engineer position. This is a FTE (Employee) Position NOT Contract. Will be responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of applications using Visual Basic, VB.Net, ADO.Net and SQL Server.? Will be responsible for object-oriented programming.? Provide technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs.? Analyze business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions.? Develop complex codes or provide coding guidance to less experienced staff.? Perform as technical lead and provide guidance to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues, troubleshooting of complex production problems.? Lead projects, including assignment of tasks, and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.? Perform modeling, simulations and analysis efforts.? Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.? Participate in overall systems testing. Lead the migration of applications to production.? Perform revision, or expansion of existing programs to increase company operational efficiency or adapt to new requirements.? Convert project specifications to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language.? Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.? Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.? Consult with managerial and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.? Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.? Solid understanding of full life-cycle development and hands-on experience with change control management software.    Qualifications Required:? Must have at least 5+ Years of Visual Basic, VB.Net, ADO.Net and SQL Server programming experience.? Must have strong knowledge and experience with Visual Studio for development with .Net.? Must have strong object-oriented programming experience.? Must have strong SQL Server database experience.? Must have technical or project lead experience.? Must have hands-on knowledge of Windows Forms Applications and Windows communications foundation technology.? Must have strong full life-cycle development experience including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and support of applications.? Must have solid analytical skills.? Must have excellent communications (verbal & written) skills.? Must be dynamic, self-motivated, detail-oriented and results-oriented.Qualifications Preferred:? .Experience with Windows services is a plus? Experience with Multi-threaded applications, or iSeries or DB2 are pluses? Knowledge of Healthcare Insurance terminologies is a plus? Knowledge of Change Control Software: Aldon-LMe is a plus? Knowledge and experience with HIPAA/EDI is a plus? Experience using Sybase EC Map product a plus
