Specifically, position responsibilities include GPS receiver hardware/software component integration for antenna, RF front end, digital signal processor and navigation/measurement functions. The Sr. Staff Engineer will support the entire product life, from design through development, integration/test, production release and fielded problem resolution. They will work closely with other design engineers and departments based on project/customer objectives and specification to design and will develop and verify designs of proposed systems. They will actively participate in design reviews and design checks; develop and execute test plans at the system level; and document system designs, core components, testing plans and results.Experience Requirements:Equivalent Education Level Required: BS Degree, with an MS Degree or Ph.D. preferred, in Engineering or other scientific field.Experience Required: Twelve + years engineering experience with hands-on experience designing, developing and integrating embedded software/hardware into products. Experience with the development and testing of RF systems from 800 MHZ to 2 GHz. Must have proficient technical writing abilities to produce performance specifications and test plans/procedures. Should be familiar with all phases of product development and successfully taken at least one product from concept through prototype into production state. Must possess effective planning skills with an ability to manage to schedules and cost.Knowledge Required: Demonstrates strong aptitude and technical skills in debugging a multitude of hardware failure types, demonstrates depth and proficiency in working with all broad-level debugging instruments, has experience in developing real time systems and RF communications systems.
