The activities encompass the development of engaging user interfaces for energy monitoring, control and demand/response applications on a touch screen controller and for web services.The ideal candidate will have experience developing Flash Lite Action Script based user interfaces for HAN devices, set top boxes, cell phones or other consumer electronic devices. The candidate must possess strong architecture and software design skills enabling clean, object-oriented implementations that are architected using components. The candidate will also envision and rapidly prototype in Flash to evaluate the interfaces for usability.Minimum Requirements:Excellent development skills and experience in Flash Lite 2 or 3.Experience developing user interfaces for TV set-top boxes, wireless touch screendevices, mobile phones, or kiosks in the consumer electronics field or related.Proven ability to deliver projects on time on aggressive timelines. Able to perform well in an agile environment.7+ years of related experienceBS or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.Preferred Skills:Experience with performance optimizations and tuning of Action Script for embeddedenvironments.Experience developing interfaces based on UI design and usability feedback.Understanding of Flash Lite, XML, Sockets, APIs and how they are used in networkcommunications.Knowledge of energy management techniques, energy analytics, grid management software, electric rate structures or carbon calculations. Localization and Internationalization of Flash content.Development experience in Flex or applications in BREW
