Perform Finite Element Analysis on new and existing structures to determine damage potential or cause of collapse; Conduct structural and seismic analyses, evaluation and design of structures and buildings, including investigating the conformance of reinforced concrete and steel buildings to building code requirements and analyzing reinforced concrete and steel buildings under realistic load conditions to evaluate collapse and serviceability requirements during and after an earthquake; Complete the structural analysis of wood, steel or concrete structural systems of both historical and contemporary structures; Research structure history and technical and code issues; Plan and mobilize for site inspections and investigations nationally and internationally; Prepare drawings and specifications, and prepare final project manual; Conduct on-site observations of work in progress; Analyze research and investigation data and develop solutions. Minimum Requirements: Master?s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and at least one year experience in performing Non Destructive Techniques (NDT) for damage assessment including dynamic testing. Must be proficient in nonlinear Finite Element Analysis Software including SAP 2000 & RISA. Must be proficient in stand-alone mesh generation software for FEM. Refer to job#SFSA016 when apply.
