Click hereSenior Aircraft Technician (6 OPENINGS) - Inspection/MaintenancePosted on:10/30/09 Job Number:300283-6509-7-251117 Add to Cart Email to a FriendLocation:Savannah, GADescription:Senior-Level Aircraft Technician (6 POSITIONS)FAA Airframe/Powerplant Mechanic Certification,Inspection/Maintenance Procedures,Maintenance/Structural Repair ManualsONE-YEAR PLUS CONTRACT POSITIONSASSIGNMENTS START AFTER BACKGROUND CLEARANCE40-HOUR WORK WEEK/4x10/MONDAY-THURSDAYCLIENT WILLNOTACCEPT FAXED RESUMES!A Savannah, GA Aviation Company, considered by many to be "The World Standard in Business Aviation", is seekingSIXSenior-Level Aircraft Technicians.Position Purpose:The Senior Aircraft Technician independently performs a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions such as removal and installation of the following to ensure conformance to procedures, performances and test specifications:* Airframes* Landing Gear* Engine Components* Electrical Components* Control SystemsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:The Senior Aircraft Technician:* Performs required periodic maintenance as well as necessary servicing of all Aircraft Mechanical Systems.* Demonstrates the ability to consistently perform assigned maintenance tasks within the quoted or standard CMP time.* Provides work direction for assigned Technicians.* Promotes high standards of quality through instruction and example setting.* Acts on behalf of MTL in his/her absence and assumes the duties and responsibilities of the MTL when assigned.* Coordinates with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.* Properly completes work order sign-offs, shift turnovers and other paper work in a timely manner.* Ensures that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.* Properly identifies (tags) customer property and equipment.* Stores aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.* Follows Standard Operating Procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment, such as:* Power Supply.* Hydraulic Rigs.* Nitrogen Filler Carts.* Oxygen Service Carts.* Operates and supervises use of special support equipment used in removal and installation of major components.* Coordinates with Line Service to schedule movement of aircraft, as required, and assists with movement of aircraft.* Possesses a working knowledge of:* The Company Policies and Procedures.* Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.* Pertinent Process Specifications.* Assists in training new employees concerning:* Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP) Maintenance Manuals.* SRM Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) Usage.* Flight Test Installations.* All maintenance of major components.* Acts on behalf of MTL in their absence, as required.* Coordinates with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.* Performs other duties as required.Additional Functions:The Senior Aircraft Technician:* Uses the Material Tracking System to create parts demand and to charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers.* Applies 5S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.* Properly collects and disposes of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids and solvent rags.* Properly uses and maintains Company-provided tools and equipment; returns items to Tool Room after use.About Our Client:Founded in 1958, this company is The World Standard in Business Aviation.
