Practical Radiology Technician - West Valley FLOATJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Avondale, AZJob Description:Position Summary:Provides patient care services in the back office setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient.Position Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent. Post high school vocational/specialized training. Current Arizona Certification for PRT. AHA CPR certification.Position Accountabilities:. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.. Participates in the development and implementation of the plan of care of the patient.. Observes and communicates changes in the patient's condition to the medical staff on duty.. Performs patient assessments and provides basic patient care.. Assists medical staff with exams, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.. Provides written reports/documentation for the patient's medical record.. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with urgent care standards. Abides by Universal Precaution and promotes the use of the precautions.. Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in the Arizona Radiation Rules and Regulations.. Places the patient into a room, obtains vital signs, records patient's chief complaint, takes x-rays, performs EKGs and performs phlebotomy as directed.. Administers medications by the oral route, IM route, subq. route and intradermal route. Familiarizes self with medications prior to administering. Administers medications as outlined in the State Rules and Regulations and per company policy.. Performs point of care testing and maintains certification for the collection of regulated and non-regulated drug screens.. Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment. Participates in the completion of the Daily Checklist.. Cleans and prepare rooms between patients and at the end of shift to assure preparedness for receipt of patients.. Be available and participate in on-call assignments.. Participates in education programs and attends meetings as required.. Participates in the orientation and/or training of newly hired personnel..
