STAFF PHARMACIST Job Summary:?Assists in the supervision & training of pharmacy technician personnel.?Compounds & dispenses medications & other pharmaceuticals. ?Maintains strong knowledge of hospital policies & government regulations & dispenses accordingly.?Consults with physicians & nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors & complaints.?Determines & consults on possible drug interactions.?Participates in drug utilization review.?Assists with quality improvement initiatives, inventory & ordering of pharmaceuticals.?Monitors, records & communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. ?Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties & responsibilities.?Orients & mentors new staff members.?Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Competitive Salary & Benefits Package.Salary To Commensurate With Experience8:30PM-7:00AM (7 days on/off)Overtime Eligible Relocation Assistance Available Interview Travel Reimbursed Education/License:?BS - Pharmacy or Pharm.D . - Graduate of a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education.?TX Pharmacist License ? Current & ClearExperience:?(1) year of recent hospital experience required. ?Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.?Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment & the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
