Mastec is looking for a Payroll Clerk.
Job Purpose:
Pays employees by compiling and processing payroll information; maintaining records. Responsible for assuming lead on various projects and initiatives as assigned by the Office Manager and Senior Management, all while assisting in the processing and production of payroll. Ideal candidate will be a professional team player, able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees. Prior payroll experience in a service-orientated business a plus.
Job Duties:
Payroll Responsibilities
• Keying timesheets into Oracle, Checking error logs, verifying work orders, report handling, payroll discrepancies, pay adjustments, subcontractor and in-house backups
Processing New Hires
• Process of new hire paperwork to acquire start date
• Ordering access for email accounts, assigning new techs to teams, make new tech boxes, add techs into system, making badges, etc.
Processing payroll-related paperwork
• Personal Change Form, payroll deductions, time off requests, terminations, etc.
Reports
• Motor Vehicle Accident report, Personal Injury report, various Tech reports
• Property Damage report
• Termination report
• Develop and maintain various other reports, as assigned
Assisting Office Manager with daily administrative duties, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 1-2 yrs Payroll experience (100+ Employees, preferred)
• Confidentiality, thoroughness, and attention-to-detail skills a must
• Must have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Must be able to work both independently and within a team
• Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office required, Oracle experience a plus)
• Strong reporting skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Flexibility with work schedule
