Within the scope of PHYSICAL THERAPIST , works collaboratively with all healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization. Patient care assignments may include evaluation and assessment, set-up of treatment programs, follow-through with programs, and eventual discharging of patients.Qualifications:Required Specifications:Education: Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited Physical Therapy Program with a B.S., M.S. or certificate in Physical Therapy required.License/Certification: Current physical therapy license from the O.P.T., Oregon Physical Therapy Licensing Board required.Experience and/or Training: At least one year of previous experience as a physical therapist in outpatient and/or in-patient rehabilitation, demonstrating competence in area of expertise. Prefer some experience with acute orthopedics and neurology. FT internships are acceptable. Must meet be able to meet the age specific needs of the patient population served by the department.Special Skill/Demands: Strong interpersonal skills with a high sensitivity to the needs of others required. Must have the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with medical staff, patients, families, referral resources and co-workers. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Must have the ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
