This is a six-month contract assignment that will be responsible for providing Opto-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering support to the fabrication, assembly and alignment of space and airborne Electro-Optical systems.The Opto-Mechanical Engineer will be a member of the Engineering team.Duties and Responsibilities:Essential responsibilities for this position will include:* Working with the Product Development team to review new designs and suggest improvements for manufacturability.* Developing manufacturing plans, including flow charts and schedules, as well as presenting at major customer reviews.* Producing new assembly, alignment and handling tool design models in Pro-E Wildfire 3.* Writing Manufacturing Operations Sheets for assembly, integration and alignment of hardware.* Entering router information into the Enterprise Resource Planning system.* Coordinating the Integrated Product Team's work with shop personnel, Operations Technicians and Design Detailers.* Working with suppliers to manufacture and procure parts for deliverable products and tooling.About Our Client:A Fortune 500 company, our client is a global supplier of systems and services to the Aerospace, Defense and Homeland Security markets.
