If you possess a high level of technical expertise, as well as common sense, you could claim an outstanding career opportunity with us now.As a Material Damage Specialist, you'll perform a wide range of checking functions - audits, reviews, re-inspections, evaluations - whatever it takes to assess damage claims, estimates and appraisals to ensure DOI compliance and fair settlements. Other functions include providing technical assistance to staff appraisers and claims personnel; responding to DOI complaints; completing reviews of claims files processed by Material Damage Appraisers, Total Loss Adjustors and external appraisers; and helping train new staff members and direct repair shops in the use of multiple software applications used to estimate and process claims.California Casualty is committed to meeting the insurance needs of the professionals who serve the public good in a variety of ways-firefighters, law enforcement, state troopers, educators and others. We also require:* Minimum 5 years' material damage/total loss claims experience* 7+ years' experience in material damage/claims and/or body shop* A bachelor's degree or an additional 3 years' experience* Tenacity, effective communication skills and a passion for excellenceMinimum starting annualized salary: $53,586 + DOE. Company car is available.The territory for this position covers a 5 hour radius around Miami Dade, Florida; and involves 5-7 overnights per month by car to include frequent air travel to additional Southeastern states.
