Assurant has over $23 billion in assets and $8 billion in annual revenue.www.assurant.Manager will plan, organize, lead, and coordinate the provision of services in the area(s) of property claims adjudication and will be responsible for the direct management of a team of Inside Staff Adjusters.Responsibilities will include:* overseeing the claims process and ensuring quality and productivity standards are met* managing a team of inside staff adjusters * recruiting, selecting and training employees as well as providing continued development of staff by coaching, counseling and motivating employees* conducting performance evaluations and auditing claim files* making recommendations and gathering information for Business Plans, Quarterly Reviews, Annual Budgets and Catastrophe Planning, in addition to maintaining existing client relationships and acting as a central point of contact for escalated client issues as they relate to claims.Required skills/experience:* Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of Property Claims experience (field experience a plus)* Ability to interpret property residential policies forms for 1stparty coverage* Experience reviewing file from beginning to end; minimum of 5 years .* Excellent business writing skills.* 3-5 years management experience preferably in claims, customer/account problem solving and service* Ability to coach and develop staff.* Innovative problem solver and able to think outside the box* Flexible, can adapt to change.* Ability to handle multiple tasks and is able to prioritize.* Excellent customer service skills.* Knowledgeable in Fair Claims Practices.* Knowledgeable in residential estimating.* Some building and construction knowledge.* Florida Adjuster's License (620) Desired skills/experience:* Manufactured Homes a plus!* Professional Insurance designation a plusWe offer comprehensive benefits to full time and part time employees including medical, dental, STD, LTD and life insurance, 401k with profit sharing, generous paid time off and much more.
