Title: Maintenance Manager (Full Time)
Location: Hesperia , CA
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for managing employees who repair, maintain, clean, and fuel a fleet of diesel buses for a 24/7 operation transportation location . As the Maintenance Manager, you will supervise mechanics that make major and minor repairs, inspections, adjustments and replacements. In this role, you will serve as the ???go to??? person providing guidance and training to the mechanics that report to you.
The Maintenance Manager may be responsible for schedules, mentoring as well as yearly reviews for the employees in the department.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent. Vocational school highly desirable
- Possess a valid CDL
- Must have 5+ years experience as a mechanic
- Have 3+ years experience in a leadership role within a automotive maintenance environment
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision
- ASCE certified and DOT annual Inspector Certifications preferred
- Must have diagnostic computer equipment experience
- The ability to obtain a CDL class B with P endorsement
- Must have basic radio skills and understanding of the design, adjustment, overhaul, operation, and maintenance of transmissions and heavy-duty engines
- Must be computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office Suite on at least a novice level
- Able to pass drug screen and criminal background check
