LoaderJob ID #:1526 Location:AL-BIRMINGHAMFunctional Area:Transportation Position Type:Full TimeExperience Required:1 - 3 Years Relocation Provided:Education Required:High School DiplomaRC/Department:6499 -KMMS-BIRMINGHAM AL :LASERPosition DescriptionPerform transfers of hazardous and non-hazardous products in compliance with training provided in accordance with KMMS work instructions and government regulations (EPA, FRA and OSHA)Climb on to top (and underneath) railcars in order to inspect and seal railcars using a checklistInspect and seal trailersInspect equipment using checklistsOperate small tractors to move equipmentDrive golf cart through facility (when required)Operate small fork lift, loaders, conveyors, as necessaryPerform level one maintenance (including, but not limited to changing oil, starters, batteries, clutches)Perform structural inspections (when required)Perform mechanical inspections using checklistsPrepare products for transferring, such as heating, sparging and sampllngPerform all duties safely, effectively and efficientlyAdhere to all company policies and proceduresParticipate in daily Safety / Quality talksReport all incidents and near missesUnderstand and comply with Telephone Etiquette procedures when neededUnderstand and comply with Shipper Confidentiality when discussing Shipper AccountsPerform all daily housekeeping duties to include bathrooms, windows, sweeping, mopping, trash pick-up, weed control, mowing grass, washing equipment / accessories, shoveling, drains, break rooms and shop areasComply with cross training as requiredAsk questions concerning product integrity, product shortages or equipment quality.Other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentMust be able to understand and comply with all requirements for any emergencyMust be able to understand and comply with the Verification Policy, when applicableExperience using hand tools requiredExperience performing Level One Maintenance on equipment requiredMust be able to take direction / supervision and work cooperatively with other peopleExperience operating mobeil equipment (John Deere tractor, golf cart, hydraulic fork lift) pumps, master vac, cain conveyor prefferedHazmat and rail yard experience a plusBasic math ckillsBasic competency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook ) preferredMust be able to climb up and down rail cars, trailers and trucksMust be able to lift industrial hoses repeatedly throughout the workdayMust be able to sweep shovel, use hand tools (i.e., wrenches, measuring tapes, seal cutters) and open and close rail carsMust be able to wear KMMS supplied Personal Protective Equipment (including full body hazmat suit) as requiredMust be able to wear cartridge respirator as requiredWill be required to work outside in all types of weather throughout the yearMust be able to work extended hours and overtime as neededMust be able to work under pressure to meet deadlinesMust be able to lift / carry up to 50#Successful appicant subject to backround check and drug screening upon hire
