Job Summary: Responsible for the coordination and planning of the therapeutic and recreational activities for the participants of the program. SpecificationsEducation: Must be a Licensed Recreational Therapist (LRT) and meet the education, supervised clinical experience, and other requirements, including practice in accordance with professional standards of practice and codes of ethics, of the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure (NC BRTL).Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in social or recreational program providing and coordinating services for a frail or elderly population within the past 5 years. Communicates participant changes to team members.?Develops specific therapeutic programs as part of the plan of care to include recreational and social activities. ?Records, signs and dates progress reports in the participant?s medical record.?Develops, implements, and supervises the Activity Program?Plans and provides both group and individual activites?Serves as a resource to staff and coordinates volunteer activities at the center. ?Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Attends staff meetings and takes part in participant care planning.
