POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE -Serves as part of the Canadian Contract Management team and plays a lead role within the SAP Technology group. The purpose of this position is to provide effective management & direct several SAP Technology teams in the planning, development, and support of the SAP Canadian Retail Systems.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -Internal THD Contact, for the sole purpose of keeping the contract management informed of decisions that may impact our impeed the current service level agreements.Provide technical direction in the areas of SAP Basis, and UNIXRegular interaction with peer leads to ensure all teams are aware of upcomming changes, coordinate with support team when conflicts arise.Monitors the day to day project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed.Ensure Home Depot standards are met or exceededProvide guidance to Contract Management team on external project work that may impact SLA-sIdentify and plan opportunities for consolidating production systems as part of any upgrade or redesign of systems.Ensure System support documentation is kept up to date and contains any changes as a result of any upgrades or redesigns.

NATURE AND SCOPE -Typically reports to Manager, Information TechnologyNo associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -ESSENTIAL SKILLSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

EDUCATION REQUIRED -The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES -

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -Expert Knowledge and experience with computer hardware, operating systems and system software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -BS Computer Science or related field, MS a plus.5 - 7 Years of hands on SAP Basis experienceGeneral knowledge of Home Depot is helpful.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -Expert knowledge of the PC (hardware and software) is essential.Ability to listen to what the user is saying and then interpret what he/ she is trying to get across.The ability to work autonomously and with a diverse team.Ability to communicate at all levels.Ability to present ideas and take charge of projects.
