POSITION DESCRIPTIONPOSITION PURPOSE -The Home Depot is currently going through several enterprise initiatives that require world-class data integration solutions with a focus on messaging, file delivery, and web services. Some of the initiatives are the largest supply chain transformation in history and the store computing platform transformation that will impact over 2,200 stores. The candidate filling this position will have responsibility for a large portion of this transformation including accountability to delivery of messaging and file delivery solutions to large projects with scope, timelines, and cost targets. This candidate will be a seasoned professional with values consistent with the Home Depot core values, focused on Excellent Customer Service, Doing the Right Thing, Taking Care of our People, Building Strong Relationships, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Respect for all People, Giving Back, and Creating Shareholder Value.The Lead Infrastructure Administrator is an expert with IBM WebSphere MQ across several platforms, extensive experience with messaging applications and file delivery solutions, experienced with open source messaging solutions, EAI and ETL Development tools, and experienced with the MQ API for development languages. In addition, the role:- Partners with application development and business teams to design, build, test, and deploy world class messaging and file delivery solutions that are integral parts of our enterprise integration solution.? Engages and partners with project and support teams to drive requirements definition, design, development and testing of complex interfaces.? Works closely with architects to ensure proper system design to address supportability, performance, security, and scalability, and ensures highest quality implementations from design through QA to production.? Understands the strategic view of applications and the importance of the supported business processes.? Promotes an appropriate sense of urgency in regard to deliverables and projects, and effectively partners with / leads the business to develop and deliver enterprise integration solutions.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES? Implements integration solutions in support of multiple over-lapping projects.? Design and implement creative technical solutions for complex business problems? Ensure the team comprehends and applies established processes, policies, standards and procedures.? Provide status reports to Manager and review boards on complex integration projects.? Guide and direct project teams in requirements definition, design and development and production implementation of complex integration components and projects.? Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate analysis and / or test reviews on assigned projects.Position Qualifications? Expert knowledge of messaging tools, specifically IBM WebSphere MQ 5.3 and greater and IBM Tivoli for monitoring - the lead will have specific expertise in the following areas:o Complex MQ Cluster environments (Overlapping, Standalone, and Gateway clusters)o Administration for MQ Clients and Servers on AIX, HP-UX, Windows, AS/400, Tandem, Z/OS, CICS, and Z-Linux. Must also have experience with MVS JCL, TSO/ISPF, and DB2.o MQ Security design/administration (RACF, OAM, SSL, Unix security groups)o MQ Log management, Dead Letter Queue management, HA failover configuration, message triggering solutions, and open source messaging solutionso Use of advanced MQ functions and techniques to meet complex business needs. Including a detailed knowledge of the MQ programming language API?s for Java, C, and COBOLo Development experience with a programming language (Java preferred)o Experience with the Metastorm PM4Data file delivery solution is a pluso Experience with IBM WebSphere DataStage TX is a plus? High level of motivation and a strong sense of urgency and ability to share urgency with project teams.? Technical leadership of a project team, although no direct reports. Experience implementing and perfecting a world-class, highly available integration environment including fail-over, built-in monitoring and alerting in order to meet stringent service level agreements for business critical applications.? PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Expert knowledge with databases.7-10 years of related experience.Previous experience in technical project leadership role. Retail/business experience a plus.BS Computer Science or related field, MS a plus.
