Information Systems Security Job ID: HITS06091078 Information Systems Security - Herndon, VA - HITS06091078Description:Job Title:Information Systems SecurityJob Code:HITS06091078Job Description:* Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems* Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure* Researches, evaluates, tests, recommends, communicates and implements new security software or devices* Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware and telecommunications* Manages the company's firewalls and intrusion detection systems* Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information* Assists in communication security procedures to users* Downloading, assessing and deploying signature updates to our fleet of Host-Based Security Suite (HBSS), a fleet of host-based sensors deployed across thousands of workstations and servers* Evaluate new signatures for usability on the customers network and be able to weigh issues related to Computer Network Defense (CND) threats, as well as enterprise system and network architectures, and relate those to the customers current monitoring needs* Responsible for regular updates to HBSS compliance and threat detection modules, in response to updated intelligence or INFOCON changes* Shift work requiredQualifications:* Bachelors degree (or the equivalent) plus a minimum of 5 years experience* Experience with current CND tools and capabilities, such as other intrusion detection/prevention systems* Understanding of modern computer network threats and attacks* Ability to weigh complex operational and network defense needs* Familiarity with IT systems administration* Experience with Host-based Security Suite* This position requires the candidate to already possess an active TS/SSBI security clearance and to maintain the clearancePreferred Additional Skills:* Security + and CISSP Certifications a plusBy submitting your résumé for this position, you understand and agree that Harris Corporation may share your résumé, as well as any other related personal information or documentation you provide, with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies for the purpose of considering you for other available positionsRequirements:Expertise ISEducation Bachelors (or equivalent work experience)JobType Full TimeLocale USA - VA - ChantillyPreferred Language English
