Title: General Foreman/Project ManagerArea: Project ManagementContact Name: Ken BischContact Email: kbisch@hargroveinc.comContact Phone: (301) 306-4634Contact Fax: (301) 306-9318Description: Title:General Foreman / Project ManagerPosition Reports To:Director of OperationsPosition SummaryThis position would be accountable for the planning of on site Hargrove equipment, lift rentals, union labor, transportation and production schedules for installation through dismantle that ensures successful logistical execution of events, exhibits and tradeshows that meet customer expectations, maintain Hargrove quality standards and achieve financial objectives.Roles and Responsibilities:* The General Foreman will be required to attend production meetings on jobs which you are assigned. This meeting is where you will learn the overall scope of work and installation timelines will be defined.* The General Foreman will create a production schedule listing areas of work, number of workers and start and finish times for each.* The General Foreman will submit labor calls to the Operations Labor Coordinator along with a production schedule to ensure efficient use of union personnel on all Hargrove projects.* The General Foreman will submit a load list of all equipment needed along with delivery times to the facility along with being responsible for ensuring the loading of his equipment is handles and completed properly.* The General Foreman is responsible for requesting rental equipment from the Operations Manager who will make all arrangements and get all signoffs.* The General Foreman is accountable for confirming Installation times and truck delivery schedule with transportation department.* The General Foreman is responsible for meeting with the Dock Manager to discuss how trucks are to be loaded and ensure all items are pulled and loaded correctly by being available on the dock during load times.* The General Foreman will be required to participate in ongoing training as it relates to the jobs you are involved. You will be scheduled in exhibit set up and event cloth work and other assigned areas on a regular basis.* The General Foreman will be responsible for signing in and out all union workers along with approving time sheets.* The General Foreman will be the Safety Officer on showsite and will be responsible for giving safe work talks and ensuring a safe work environment.* The General Foreman will be responsible for administering discipline as covered under the collective bargaining agreement, including write ups for no-shows.* The General Foreman will write a post show report evaluating all aspects of the job and areas of improvement.Skills, Qualifications & AbilitiesCandidate must be very detail-oriented, possessing exceptional organizational skills. They must be willing to work both independently and participate as a team player for achieving departmental and company goals. Candidates must have ability to multi-task in fast paced environment, competently handling demanding deadlines.General Foreman must possess:* 5-6 years minimum experience in tradeshow or event onsite management* Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and positive attitude* Willingness to learn and develop new skills* Leadership skills- ability to delegate and provide direction* Keen budgetary management skills* Resourcefulness- candidate must possess innovative problem-solving and decision-making skills* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with clients* Ability to read technical drawingsWork EnvironmentJob will entail working overtime during peak times of production, evenings, some weekends and holidays as necessary.
