Job details Job 1of 1 Title Executive ProducerBusiness Unit WTIC-TV/WTXX-TVFull/Part Time FullLocation CT-HartfordJob Description MORNING NEWS EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Hartford’s most honored and fastest growing news operation, FOX 61/TXX – TV, is seeking an Executive Producer for our 4 and ½ hour morning news show. Main responsibilities include script approval including working with reporters on packages and live shot production; reviewing all on-air graphics; helping to determine story selection and stacking; working in conjunction with the News Director and Assistant News Director on special projects and event coordination; suggesting news stories daily and contributing ideas for sweeps. The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of line-producing experience; a bachelor’s degree in communications or broadcast journalism or equivalent related experience; the ability to write clear, compelling broadcast copy; strong organizational and communication skills and a keen attention to detail; thorough working knowledge of newsroom computer systems and broadcast production equipment including the Pinnacle Deko system; and the ability to be a leader in the newsroom and to motivate others under deadline pressure.
