As an employee, you will receive all the guidance and support you need, but will never be micro-managed.Description:We are currently looking for a superior Embedded Software Engineer that is responsible for developing and maintaining software, working at the embedded system or firmware level. This challenging position with work on multiple projects with teams that varying in size from three to 10 team members.We have arguably the best technologists in the industry. Enhance, improve, and maintain the source code? Quickly adapt to advances in technology, and design and implement test procedures for them? Independently learn and apply new software techniques and programming languages? Lead implementation of software engineering processes and methodologies? Work effectively in a fast paced environment on complex projects? Create and maintain technical documents, specifications and procedure descriptions? Other special projects and/or duties as assignedThe ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:? 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience? More than two years of related technical experience? Experience with C and x86 Assembly language programming? PC hardware knowledge, and ability to keep up with developments in PC hardware and firmware? Ability to quickly learn product features and capabilities? Ability to work independently and with others as needed? Ability to follow processes and adhere to procedures? Excellent communication skills, including ability to work cooperatively and congenially with others? Ability to respond positively in a dynamic environment and take initiative Desired skills include:? System level protected mode programming? Experience programming PCI devices? Device driver writing experience? Operational knowledge of PC BIOS and DOS
