Drug Information Pharmacist needed in Brooklyn, NYCurrently searching for a Resident Trained with expert knowledge in Drug Information. This facility is a 800+ bed, teaching institution located in one of the five burros. As one of the largest patient care facilities in New York, we offer residency programs in several areas such as medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. Responsibilities of the Drug Information Pharmacist include preparing a Drug Information Center brochure, pharmacy newsletter, and develop other educational materials to distribute to patients and staff, writing drug monographs for the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee, developing a web site on the intranet for communicating with and providing drug information to clinicians, providing continuing education to pharmacists and clinical staff on drug information topics, and oversee the reporting, detecting, and managing of adverse drug events.The Drug Information Pharmacist will serve as a coordinator, role model, teacher, mentor and preceptor for our PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy Residents and undergraduate Pharmacy Students completing drug information clerkships. There will be a faculty appointment at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice rank.
