POSITION DESCRIPTIONPOSITION PURPOSEProvide leadership, direction, guidance, and support to assigned Store Managers regarding short and long-term planning, merchandising, inventory replacement, profitability, sales, company objectives, employee training and customer service.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES* Ensures that Company standards are uniformly met and adhered to across all stores within assigned district.* Provides guidance and feedback to Store Managers based on analysis of profitability and sales reports of individual stores.* Oversees the appropriate resource and inventory balancing across all stores within the district.* Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff.
NATURE AND SCOPEReports to a Regional Vice President.Direct reports typically include one or more Store Managers.Typically requires interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.Typically considers new approaches within general policies and short-term goals when solving problems.Typically expected to provide infrequent status reports to management only as appropriate.

EDUCATION REQUIREDThe knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTSMost all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* A bachelor' s degree is preferred.* Five years merchandising experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIESTypically requires five years people management/supervisory experience.Strong oral and written communication skills.
