Direct Care Residential - DelawareJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Wilmington, DELast Updated: 01/11/2010Job Description:Bancroft is dedicated to fostering the highest quality of life for people of all ages with neurological disorders, including developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries.Bancroft has entry-level, direct care openings for individuals who want to learn to help adults with neurological disorders in our Delaware locations.Responsibilities include:*Participate actively in the learning experiences and life growth of each individual within the program area.*Provide for the individual care, supervision and safety of our persons served.*Act as a role model for the residents and carry out the specific responsibilities of advocate.*Deal well with various types of problem behaviors (e.g., aggression, self-injury, etc.)*Implement behavioral assessment/treatment plans.**Full-time, part-time, substitute, day, evening and night shifts available.**Salary: $9.15-11.40/hourWe are currently seeking candidate who have:*High School Diploma or GED*Bachelor's degree or pursuing bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, and related fields, preferred.*Experience with DD/MR or brain injury populations is preferred but not required.*Valid driver's license without restrictions*Clean Criminal Background*Must be able to provide a minimum of (2) Professional References*We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement.
