We are located inEnumclaw,Washington.As a leader in the fluid power industry for over 25 years, we manufacture a comprehensive line of hydraulic rotary actuators used as component parts in OEM equipment and after-market attachments for the construction equipment industry. Our rotary actuators are best known for their tremendous torque output, compact dimensions, exceptional load bearing capability and rugged, reliable performance.Participate in product development, program schedule development, structural analysis, hydraulic system design and analysis, mechanical power transmission, design for assembly and manufacture, material specification, and welding specification and analysis.As an engineer you will:Assume complete program responsibility under the guidance of our Director of Engineering beginningwith written proposals for assigned projects, will coordinate with the representatives from Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to plan and develop programs.Our engineers possess solid presentation, oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well with others in a team environment, and the initiative and ability to work independently to complete projects. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus, experience with 3D modeling is required for this position.Our successful engineers bring a track record ofproven product development success rooted in solid structural analysis.Emphasis will be placed on candidates withmobile hydraulic implement design experience. This is a key position andwe are looking for an experienced and technically proficient project design engineer who will transition into project management.Do project time estimates and maintain effective control of project and product cost.Be theprimary design agent for the productinsuring all analysis for form, fit, and function is completed. This responsibility can be as the primary design engineer, or as the coordinator of design engineering activities performed by others.Prepare technical proposals for products including a description of the proposed equipment, envelope, performance, stress analysis, weight analysis, reliability, materials and other data required to satisfy customer specifications.Provide instruction to other disciplines on project action required in the form of engineering orders, test procedures, purchase requisitions, and inter-office correspondences. Prepare all necessary data to satisfy customer technical requirements.Review and approve product drawings, drawing release packages, and drawing revisions.Maintain technical liaison with customers and vendors working through Marketing and Purchasing Departments.Maintain an accurate program accounting of project activity via a Design Record Book.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent 4 year technical degree.Focus of studies should include:Fluid DynamicsStatics & DynamicsDesign Of Mechanical ComponentsStress And StrainMetallurgyStrength of MaterialsPlatings, Coatings, & Heat TreatingDrawing LayoutCAD Drafting/3-D Solid ModelingGeometric TolerancingSpreadsheets design and usage, Word Processing, GraphingOther Skills and Abilities which will be demonstrated while working as a Design Engineer atIfINTERESTED AND QUALIFIEDplease email resume in Word.doc Format toopenpositions@etechhi.com
