Cost AccountantJob Code :2009 - 1WVDivision :Business Jet SegmentLocation :Fenwick WV US 26202% of Travel Required :10-20%Job Type :Full Time-B/E Direct HireCareer Level :Experienced (Non-Manager)Education :Bachelor's DegreeCategory :Finance/AccountingJob Description :Plans study and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor; analyzes data obtained and records results.Develops, implements and/or maintains one or a combination of cost accounting systems.Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts.Collects data, allocates costs and prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, ensuring established procedures are followed.Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.Appraises and evaluates real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes.Prepares financial statements and variance reports as requested.Performs analysis and prepares special reports.Interprets reports and records for managers.Provides training and guidance to lower-level Cost Accountants.Performs other related duties as required.Job Requirements :Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; minimum eight years related experience and/or training.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, associates, customers, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
