Global Technology company in NJ seeks a CONTRACTS SPECIALISTBase salary- $65K+, increases with experience but not a senior level.extensive benefits package travel & interview reimbursement and relocation package if over 60 miles.Responsibilities: ? Administration of assigned programs and proposals, including working with Contracts Manager and program managers on various contracting issues. ? Prepare COST PROPOSAL volumes, negotiate contract TERMS, and ADMINISTER CONTRACTS through their life cycle. ? Maintain current, accurate and complete contract files. ? Work under general supervision of Contract Manager while independently planning work to ensure proposal and contracting schedules are met. Qualifications: ? BS/BA in business or finance (or undergraduate degree in engineering with commensurate experience in contract administration) ? Minimum of 4 years experience in DRAFTING, NEGOTIATING and administering R&D and SUPPLY CONTRACTS. Experience with government CPFF, Fixed Price and T&M contracts (DoD contract experience a plus) ? Good working knowledge of FAR and DFAR ? Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. ? Strong desire to increase experience and contracting skills with goal of advancing in industrial contracting organization. ? Proficient with computers - MS Word and Excel. ? Pricing or cost analysis experience desirable. ? Security clearance is not required at this time but candidate must be able to receive a security clearance in the future.
