Configuration Analyst I

Job Description: Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies. Perform the Gatekeeper function by processing new requests to existing material masters (MM) and change requests to existing MMs in Raytheon's PRISM system. Required Skills and Responsibilities: - Transactional processing of material master requests including setting up screening new requests ensuring that the part does not currently exist, includes complete and accurate data - Problem solving working with requestors to resolve differences/conflicts between the requestor needs and existing records or company policies - Strategic planning associated with creating new part numbers v. maximize use of common parts - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Attention to detail - the ability to consistently ensure that all fields of a request are filled out completely in accordance with company policies/PRISM requirements in a high volume processing environment - Problem solving - the ability to research issues and discuss with requestors potential solutions, bringing to the discussion the preferred solution with an easy to understand rational supporting the position - Team work - the ability to work within a small team under stressful (high volume) conditions - Identify and work critical path items based on priorities of assignments and communicate constraints to the production team - Identify problems and prevent production delays or work stoppage, initiating corrective action and expediting solutions - Travel as required, approximately 5 to 10% - Ability to motivate, empower, and remove barriers within a multi-disciplined organization - Proficient pc skills including ability to create word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using MS Office programs - Must have or be able to obtain DOD secret security clearanceDesired Skills: * VM SME * Experience with PRISM or comparable SAP system including bill of material (BOM) maintenance, engineering changes, and product configuration management * Experience interpreting engineering drawings/specifications * Experience interfacing with project and design engineer to review production drawings, BOMs, engineering changes * R6Sigma Specialist * Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously * Product design experience is a plus * Experience entering information into HAAS TCM (chemical management Required Education and Experience: * Bachelors Degree or 5 to 8 years experience working with MRP systems and BOMs Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.To Apply for this position, pleaseCLICK HERE
