This is a temporary, full-time position in a 24x7 environment, and requires employees to work various shifts, holidays, weekends and occasional overtime. This position does not include benefits. Candidate must be flexible, intuitive, self-motivated, and demonstrate advanced interpersonal skills. Candidate must work well both alone and in a highly structured team environment. The successful candidate is goal oriented, highly productive and projects a strong professional image. Final shift assignment expected to be to the mid watch (third shift). The Computer Operator will:- Analyze and enter message traffic from shipping interests concerning vessel traffic to U.S. ports.- Validate vessel information entered into the databases.- Interface with governmental and vessel customers.Microsoft Office. All other training provided on site.Proficiency in typing in regards to data entry.Demonstrate familiarity with the Internet and Microsoft Office Suite; especially Word and e-mail.Experience and knowledge of Windows Operating Systems desired.
