Location Chicago (North Suburbs)Civil Construction Estimator - Chicago Vicinity North.We are updated this job position with a slightly changed focus on what theyneed. We need someone who has done a mix of flat work and small buildingestimation, someone who had their own business or was a Project Manager andbid and executed smaller jobs. The reason we need someone like this isbecause they are picking up a number of smaller jobs that have civilcomponents. Currently they have no one who can estimate the civil portionsuch as small buildings or sidewalks or short runs of paving. They have torely on our subcontractors who don't necessarily get it right. They needsomeone inside the firm to verify these numbers and give better bids.Someone who has done heavy highway bids or the development of empty landdoesn't fit their needs.Company works to build and strengthen America's infrastructure. As aspecialty contractor and subcontractor, they design and build major projectsacross the United States.* They provide a full line of benefits including 401K profit sharing, andmedical insurance.Prepare accurate bids for projects involving civil (buildings andstructures).Ensure compliance with general and special conditions of bids including,insurance requirements, minority quotas (both contractor and work force) aswell as compliance with applicable codes.Work closely with administration and marketing to prepare bid submissions.MUST HAVE (FIRM)1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.2. Has done a mix of flat work and small building estimation preparingestimates for bids.3. Had their own business or was a Project Manager and bid and executedsmaller jobs such as small buildings or sidewalks or short runs of paving.4. In Chicago or Northern Illinois with experience there.
