Deputy Program Manager Job ID: HITS07091063 CITS-ESU Deputy Program Manager, Hanscom AFB, MADescription:CITS-ESU Deputy Program ManagerJob Description* Program Manager responsible for operating and growing an IT Support task order supporting the Combat Information Transport System Program Office at Hanscom Air Force Base, Boston, MA. * Tasks include IT Planning and Architecture, QA/QC of Network Management/Network Defense project work, Server Administration, Network Management, Configuration Management, and Business Process Engineering.* Analyzes, schedules, monitors and documents project activities in accordance with contract scope of work and terms and conditions.* Plans, organizes and directs subordinate project task leaders, including the establishment of project schedules and operating procedures to ensure efficient daily operations of the project.* Coordinates with corporate support organizations to obtain assistance as required accomplishing project tasks.* Holds periodic meetings with project management staff to review project progress, policies and procedures, and to gather and disseminate corporate matters of interest.* Prepares and submits Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) in accordance with corporate Project Planning and reporting policy.* Performs various administrative activities including the interviewing of applicants, conducting performance appraisals, recommending salary actions and scheduling vacations.* Resolves minor grievances and initiates disciplinary action when necessary.* Assists in the development of subordinate's skills. * Position also includes operational and business development responsibility for future CITS program office project road map at Hanscom Air Force Base.Required Skills* Successful candidate will be located in Boston, MA metro area with a network of business and Air Force contacts within the Hanscom AFB area.* Requires Bachelors Degree in an appropriate technical field or any other equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities plus ten years broad professional experience, including 10 to 12 years in management with demonstrated proficiency in project management, computer system analysis, design, development, and support, with some exposure to interrelated activities.* Ability to travel 25% of the time.* A four (4) year college degree in management or Computer Science or a related field.* Active SECRET government clearance.* Ten (10) years experience in computer applications or information technology support.* Five (5) years technical managerial experience.* Must have experience guiding and supervising information technology specialists.* Demonstrated effective communication, listening, problem identification, resolution, and customer service skills.Additional Desired Skills* ITIL Certified* PMP* Proven track record of growing a business (Desired)This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Secret clearance and to maintain the clearance.By submitting your résumé for this position, you understand and agree that Harris Corporation may share your résumé, as well as any other related personal information or documentation you provide, with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies for the purpose of considering you for other available positions.Requirements:Expertise Program ManagementEducation Bachelors (or equivalent work experience)JobType Full TimeLocale USA - MA - BostonPreferred Language English
