Please direct all resumes to Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the procurement and negotiation of packaging used in support of items sold to retail customers. (i.e. jewelry boxes, containers for deli items, etc.).The successful candidate must have good people and communication skills, a high energy level, be flexible, resilient, and positive and possess the ability to maximize opportunities. Individual needs to have solid financial skills, be decisive, have a good sense of urgency, and thrive in an ever changing environment.It is preferred that the candidates hold a Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain Management, packaging or related area and have 3-5 years experience in commodity purchasing with responsibility for an annual buy of more than $50 millionQualified candidates must have:?Successful development and execution of supplier reduction and consolidation strategies?Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain process?Successful development and implementation of effective business strategies which call for coordination of activity from more than one functional area. ?Strategic sourcing and a proven background of sustained cost improvement.?Creative and innovative strategies and recommendations for standardizing packaging or other commodities?Ability to effectively interface with all levels and departments within the organizationRequired Skills aTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Office ?
