Biosafety OfficerTracking Code2056Job DescriptionThe Jackson Laboratory has a position available as Safety Specialist II/III reporting to the Manager of Environmental Health & Safety Services. Responsibilities include program management of Industrial Hygiene concentrating on Biosafety and support of a variety of other program areas. Incumbent will follow established procedures and develop a proactive customer service with a hands-on focus in promoting, fostering and supporting a leadership driven, injury-free culture. Incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Laboratory policies and local, state and federal regulations. Required ExperienceMinimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology or related Sciences with at least five years work experience and professional responsibility in Biosafety. A Masters degree and professional credentials as well as knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and knowledge of industrial hygiene, and/or environmental health standards preferred.Job LocationBar Harbor, ME, US.Position TypeFull-Time/Regular
