The successful candidate is responsible for certain aspects of theManager ‘80/20 Checklist,’ as delegated by the Store Manager. The key objective of this checklist is so the store consistently producesa ‘Wow! It’s You!’ guest experience.The successful candidate will also encourage and energize staff, and assist in evolving in-store functions and flow.When the Store Manager is absent, the AssistantManager is accountable for all store operation functions.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER (the Tasks):· Passionately leads and educates on the retail floor, for a minimum of 32 hours per week.· Is an advocate for lululemon athletica’s values.· Oversees the execution of certain deliverables on the Manager ‘80/20 Checklist,’ as delegated by the Store Manager. For example, Inventory, Product or Community Education.· Represents her/his store at all required meetings and conferences, as directed by the Store Manager.· Performs/completes other additional projects, duties, and assignments as requiredand/or by request, under the direction of the Store Manager.· Educates guests on lululemon products, community, and culture.· Acts as a coach to Educators & Key Leaders, and plays a hands-on roll in theirdevelopment.· Unpack boxes for inventory as required. Boxes can weigh 10 - 30 lbs.ASSISTANT MANAGER ‘MUST HAVES’ (Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications):· Passion, knowledge and involvement in yoga, and/or other fitness, health or sports activities required. As part of the Leadership Team, you are expected to be enrolled in and participating in weekly fitness activities in-and-out of the store with the store team.· Extraordinary proven leadership capabilities.· Strong sense of personal style and athletically-minded.· Takes full responsibility and accountability for their work lives and its results.· Excellent team player and has the ability to work independently.· Open to giving & receiving feedback.· One year of exceptional performance educating on the retail floor is preferred.· Completion of some secondary education is an asset.· Excellent decision-making and problem resolution skills.· Extraordinary guest interaction, organizational and time management skills.· Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written.· Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).AN ASSISTANT MANAGER’S WORK WEEK (the Hours):The Assistant Manager works 40 hours per workweek (5 days). This consists of a minimum of24 hours per week managing/educating on the retail floor; at least one day is a weekend day/night.SELF DEVELOPMENT/LEARNING (the Growth):· The Assistant Manager is fully enrolled and is an advocate of the lululemon culture and the tools available for personal growth and development, such as the lululemon library, Brian Tracy CD’s, Landmark Forum and goal coaching. You understand thesetools and work to enroll the rest of the team in utilizing them.· The Assistant Manager proactively acquires knowledge/education regarding the company’s general information, news bulletins, store policy, processes, quality control, new garments/styles, customer feedback/experiences, and staff information/communication by consistently reviewing the lul
