Works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization. Provide outpatient primary care to geriatric patients in coverage of patient's regular primary care provider in a hospital associated Senior Health Clinic within the normal operating hours of the clinic.Job-Specific Functions:Practice of medicine within the scope of license, training and credentialing.Practice of medicine in accordance with the current standards of care as well as the quality criteria adopted by the clinic.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients served by demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.Required SpecificationsEducation: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Successful completion of Internship/Residency Program in area of specialty. Fellowship-trained Geriatrician, CAQ geriatrician desired.License/Certification: Licensed to practice as a physician in the State Board Certified. Federal DEA Number. Current CPR required. Able to meet requirements for medical staff membership at St. Joseph Hospital.Experience and/or Training: Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patients. Maintains current knowledge and skills with continuing education. Must meet all training requirements for specific department. Office dermatology, joint injection skills useful but not essential.Special Skill/Demands: Computer experience required. Able to work varied hours; rigorous on-call and call-back schedule. Must not be a practitioner excluded from participation in the Medicare or Medicaid program.Qualifications:Please see above.
